Dr. Fritts
Dr. Kaylie Fritts is an Indiana native and alumna of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Fritts practiced in the heart of Amish country in Indiana before moving with her fiancé to Idaho in the fall of 2017. In 2018, Dr. Fritts made the best decision of her life and married fellow veterinarian, Dr. Kyle DeYoung. In 2019, the couple made the move to Kansas City to allow them to pursue their respective career goals and be closer to family. So far, they’re thoroughly enjoying life in the Kansas City metro and take every opportunity they can get to explore local shops and restaurants, visit the art museum, or have a beer at a craft brewery. Dr. Fritts and Dr. DeYoung have a lot of animals: Layla, a Craigslist retriever, Ivy, a resuce pitbull, Spike, a chihuahua saved from death row, and Olive Tooster, a dumpster kitten with whom Dr. Fritts is in a constant power struggle. When not exploring Kansas City, you can find Dr. Fritts walking her dogs, taking a yoga class, reading a book, knitting a scarf, or watching The Office.

Jaime
Jaime is a receptionist at JCAC. She has worn many hats in the veterinary field including being a veterinary assistant and tech along with receptionist duties. She’s a KU grad having degrees in Psychology and Human Development and Family Life, and like all KU fans loves basketball. A fun KU note is that she also crewed on the KU row team! Her other interests include music, off leash dog parks, pet shows and especially the Weimaraner dog breed. She has no dogs currently, however has had 4 Weimaraners and a Shar-Pei/heeler mix.

Margie
Margie is one of our customer service receptionists, although she’ll happily assist wherever needed. She used to play the organ/piano for weddings, funerals and church and feels that one of her greatest accomplishments was memorizing and mastering Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor (14 pages)! That particular organ piece is still one of her favorites to listen to! Although she still enjoys music and piano, she also enjoys reading and cooking in her spare time. She has 2 pets: Chase, a 7 year old male sheltie, and Boomer, a Maine Coon mix male feline.

Stephanie
Stephanie has been a familiar face at both JCAC and LPAH for 16 years. She mostly serves as one of our customer service receptionists, but has also assisted as a technician, when needed. Her favorite things to do are to spend time with family, whether just her 2 kids or extended family. Activities they all enjoy are boating, swimming, shopping, seeing movies and trying out new restaurants. Her pets include 2 dogs and 2 cats: Jersey (the largest dog) and Corona (the smallest dog), Romeo (a stray cat from JOCO), and finally Miami (nicknamed “Fat Cat”). Her goal is to care for your pets like they are family as well.

Kayla
Kayla is one of our customer service receptionists. She has spent the past 13 years working with “furry friends” both by being employed and assisting in veterinary clinics and daycare centers. She loves hanging out with both 2 and 4 legged friends that include her boyfriend, Bryan and dad, James. Hobbies comprise crafting, painting, gaming, eating good food, watching great TV shows, anime and enjoying outdoor activities. She has an orange tabby, Meowgi.

She loves to hang out with family, dance and swim. Her “peeps” so to speak, are her mom, husband, kids and best friend of 34 years, Leslie. She has 3 family dogs: Fiona, Fritz and Milo.

Christina
Christina is one of our experienced animal caretakers working in the kennel. She works hard feeding and watering your pets when you are out of town or when they just need some special care during times of illness. She also performs routine baths, exams and weight measures to assist in general wellness care. Her goal is to make sure your pets get the attention and love they deserve when they are here. Her family and friends are important to her as is Maximillian, her senior black lab mix!
